The PUTW Mandolin Pickup Version 2 for single footed bridges
This kit come pre-wired to a Carpenter jack, and installs in minutes without modification to the instrument. This version is for bridges with a solid, single bridge foot, and mounts with the wire exiting on either the bass or treble end of the bridge. The tone of these pickups is superb, and is equally suited for ringing classical tones or chunking Bluegrass chords. The output is very dynamic and feedback resistant.

The PUTW Mandolin Pickup Version 1 for two footed bridges
This kit comes pre-wired to a Carpenter jack, and installs in minutes without modification to the instrument. The first version is for bridges with two separate bridge feet. The pickup element resides under the bass bridge foot, and the wire exits from the gap between the feet. The tone of this pickups is superb, and is equally suited for ringing classical tones or chunking Bluegrass chords. The output is very dynamic and feedback resistant.

The PUTW Octave Mandolin Kit
This kit includes a paper-thin film element that slips invisibly under the bridge feet, and comes pre-wired to an over-sized Carpenter jack. The output is rich, dynamic, and full of overtones and harmonic content. The paper-thin pickup slips under one or both of the bridge-feet, and compresses against the body. The natural acoustics are not affected, and the tone is punchy and quite feedback proof. The body sensing aspect keeps the sound from being overly 'stringy', yet the tone has a nice smooth attack. We build these pickups to fit the exact dimensions of the bridge feet. For double footed bridges, they can be ordered in either mono or stereo versions. When ordering, specify single or double-footed bridge, and the length and width of the contact surfaces. The Carpenter jack is usually mounted to the rim just below the tailpiece, and a dimension for the thickness should also be provided for the best fit. Turn around time to build custom sizes is about one week.
